To prevent accidents, extended operation will be arranged. Please note that an additional fee will be charged if the service operates after 4:30 p.m.

Sightseeing During the Snow Season

During the winter season, Hakuba Goryu’s slopes are operated as ski and snowboard areas. For safety reasons, visitors who are not skiing or snowboarding should refrain from walking or entering the slopes.
There is a risk of collisions between skiers/snowboarders and pedestrians, and, depending on the slope and snow conditions, falls or accidents may occur.
If you wish to play in the snow, please use the designated areas. Please do not enter the slopes, areas around chair lifts, or work areas, as they can be dangerous.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable ski resort experience, please follow on-site signs and staff instructions.

Protecting the Natural Environment

The mountain area of Hakuba Goryu is home to valuable natural environments, including alpine plants. To help protect this environment, please observe the following:

  • Do not pick or take alpine plants.
  • Do not enter areas outside designated hiking trails or walking paths.
  • Please take all trash home with you.
  • Do not feed wild animals.

Once the natural environment is damaged, it takes a long time to recover. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in preserving this beautiful natural environment for future generations.

Emergency Response

In mountain areas, sudden weather changes, illness, falls, and other problems may occur. In the event of an injury, accident, or illness, please notify nearby staff or facility personnel.
During the ski season, ski patrols are on duty and will respond as needed.
Please note that mobile phone reception may be poor in some areas due to the mountain environment. Visitors planning to hike or trek should come with a safe itinerary and proper equipment.
